4T Medical Achieves ISO Accreditations and Celebrates 7th Year Carbon Neutral

4T Medical has announced today that it has been accredited to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), setting a new benchmark in the company’s ongoing dedication to operational excellence and sustainability.

These internationally recognised standards reflect the effective practices already in place at 4T Medical, supporting its long-standing environmental credentials, as a Carbon Neutral Plus Organisation since 2019.

The company is also committed to reducing its carbon footprint year on year, combining efficiency measures, careful operational management, and investment in climate projects. In the past year alone, 4T Medical saved 16 tCO₂e, this amount of carbon would take approximately 320 – 400 mature trees a year to absorb. As part of its environmental programme, 4T Medical offset 75 tonnes of CO2 in 2025* through a portfolio of projects across Africa, Europe, and South America. These initiatives reduce emissions, deliver measurable climate benefits, and support local communities and biodiversity.

Several projects focus on ecosystem restoration and natural carbon capture:

  • Improving Access to Clean Water (Zambia and Ethiopia): The company also supports safe water initiatives, including borehole construction, reducing reliance on firewood or charcoal, lowering emissions, and improving community health.
  • Soil Carbon Improvement (South Africa): Enhancing grassland management to store carbon, improve soil health, and strengthen ecosystem resilience.
  • Reforestation and Afforestation (UK, Sierra Leone, Colombia): Planting and protecting trees to capture carbon, restore degraded land, and improve biodiversity. In the UK alone, 4T Medical has planted a number of trees, contributing to measurable carbon savings and local environmental benefits.

All carbon offset projects are verified under internationally recognised schemes, such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Gold Standard (GS), ensuring accountability, transparency, and real impact.

Achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation is a real moment of pride for 4T Medical,” said Julien Tordjmann, Managing Director.

These certifications reflect the way we operate every day. Maintaining carbon neutrality since 2019, planting trees in the UK and continuously reducing our emissions, highlights the way sustainability informs our approach. We hope others in our industry are inspired to make a difference.
