Introducing the Lumixa Phototherapy System
Lumixa is a topical photoconverter gel that is applied to the skin then activated under a professional LED light to produce Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE) which generates multiple hyper-pulsed wavelengths benefiting both the epidermis and dermis. Treatments with Lumixa stimulate fibroblasts to increase collagen, target the intrinsic signs of ageing and reactivate the skin matrix.
Why Lumixa over standard LED?
A stand-alone LED treatment provides amazing benefits, however Lumixa generates a wide-spectrum of wavelengths, which ‘supercharges’ the benefits of a standard LED treatment by up to 7 times in a single 15 minute treatment. Fast and comfortable with little to no downtime, Lumixa FLE treatments will help repair, regenerate and energise skin.
The benefits
- Patented technology
- Stimulates cellular activity and normalisation of skin functions
- Stimulates healing and repair mechanisms
- Anti-inflammatory effect
- Stimulates microcirculation
- Stimulates collagen production
- Non-Invasive, painless and requires no downtime
- Non-photosensitising
- Can be combined with other aesthetic treatments for superior and longer lasting results
The range itself consists of 3 products for a targeted treatment:
Lumixa Skin Normaliser
Normalises, heals and repairs skin by targeting the signs and symptoms of inflammageing.
Effects and Benefits:
- Uses BLUE LED light to generate a dynamic hyperpulsed spectrum from 415 to 650nm and in particular boost the effects of blue LED.
- Acts on skin reactivity and stress.
- 80% more effective than LED in preventing and reducing inflammation.
- Has a revitalising and energising effect for improved skin health.
- Destresses the skin and makes it less reactive (so ideal treatment before other procedures).
- Great for dehydrated skin, dull complexions and problematic skins (red, sensitive, or inflamed skin, compromised skin barriers).

Lumixa Collagen Booster
Effects and Benefits:
- Uses BLUE LED light to generate a dynamic hyperpulsed spectrum from 415 to 650nm.
- Increases collagen production by up to 700%.
- Stimulates fibroblasts.
- Improves texture, tone, quality and structure of skin.
- Reactivates the skin matrix.
- Minimises the appearance of fine lines and enlarged pores.
- Ideal preventative treatment for clients between 18 and 40s to help slow down the ageing process through collagen banking.

Lumixa Age Control
Acts deeply within the skin by stimulating cellular regeneration and targeting the signs and symptoms of ageing.
Effects and Benefits:
- Uses RED LED light to generate a dynamic hyperpulsed spectrum from 600 to 800nm.
- Stimulates cellular regeneration.
- Targets the signs of ageing.
- Reduces wrinkles by up to 74%.
- Has shown significant skin age reduction in studies evaluated with the VISIA skin analyser (patients in study were aged between 45 and 62 years and showed an average decrease of 8 years).
- Improves skin firmness and jawline definition.
- Ideal for patients showing signs of skin ageing including perimenopausal/menopausal clients whose collagen degradation is around 3-6% per year instead of 1%.

Treatment protocol
The straightforward treatment involves 3 simple steps. Firstly a patented topical gel is applied to the face. The gel is activated using a professional LED light and lights up to produce Fluorescent Light Energy. The FLE then penetrates into the epidermal and dermal layers to stimulate skin cells, improve skin health and texture and boost collagen production.
A weekly series of 5 treatments is recommended for optimum results, and can be combined with other procedures for a more targeted approach. The treatment itself is quick (approximately 15 minutes) completely safe, painless and non-invasive. Lumixa also has the advantage of being non-photosensitizing so can be used all year round and requires no downtime.

Step 1
Step 1
A gel containing fluorophore with a specific energy profile for each indication is applied. The gel remains on the skin surface and is not absorbed.

Step 2
Step 2
The photoconverter gel is activated with the use of a professional LED lamp for approx. 10-15 minutes.

Step 3
Step 3
The gel performs a photoconversion, producing Fluorescent Light Energy which penetrates into the skin and stimulates cells.
Lumixa treatments utilise an innovative, patented technology called Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE), which is supported by strong scientific evidence and multiple clinical studies on wound care and dermatology. FLE enhances and maximizes the benefits of LED light treatments, thanks to:
Polychromatic light: Blue LED light is converted into Fluorescent Light Energy which covers the entire spectrum of wavelengths (500 to 800nm), therefore working simultaneously on both epidermal and dermal layers.
Photobiomodulation: the light stimuli generates photophysical and photochemical reactions in the skin to stimulate biological processes and the skin’s own regeneration mechanisms.
Hyper-pulsed light: Unlike continuous light from conventional LED light, FLE generates hyper-pulsed light which provides superior cellular interaction by providing cells with ‘quench’ periods (periods of rest where the light delivers energy deep into the tissue while generating less heat at the surface layers).
Steady State FLE: Fluorescence is constant and interacts with the skin continuously during the treatment session.
