Mono PDO thread

Honey Derma Mono threads are used for many indications including smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, face and body tightening, achieving light volume (around the cheek area) and for skin rejuvenation. They can also be used to treat the neck area and for creating definition around the jawline.

Available in a range of gauges and various lengths.

Honey Derma Threads are made of soluble PDO (polydioxanone), a material used in medicine for many years, mainly in surgery. PDO relaxes muscles and tendons while stimulating the production of new collagen in the skin. PDO also stimulates the production of elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin, vital for creating youthful looking skin. An effective solution for facial lifting and winkle reduction, with minimal interruption to daily life even right after the procedure and minimal side effects. Honey Derma PDO threads are biodegradable and biocompatible and will be fully dissolved in the body after 3 to 6 months.

How do PDO Threads work?

The PDO thread is inserted into the skin through a very fine needle or cannula causing an artificial wound, inducing a healing effect improving the skin. Creating upper and lower contraction between skin and muscle, or skeletons, the thread causes a lifting effect. When located in solid tissue, near bones or ligament, the fixed tissue has a stronger adhesion effect to the skin.

Different lengths and thicknesses of thread are used for different areas of the face and body. Short strands of threads are often used to treat fine lines around the eyes, while thicker strands can be injected into the muscles of the forehead as an alternative to Botox.
