Spectrum of efficacy

Bacteria: E.coli, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp, MRSA, Streptococcus spp, Listeria spp, Enterococcus faecalis, Acinetobacter baumannii, Corynebacterium ammoniagenes, Mycoplasma spp, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella pneumonia, Serratia marcescens, Shigella dysenterriae, Vibrio cholerae, Bacillus cereus, Mycobacterium, Clostridium spp etc

Viruses: HBV, HCV, HIV, Adeno, Rota, Influenza virus (including swine flu) etc

Fungi: Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Aspergillus brasiliensis, Candida albicans etc

Suitable for pre-procedural skin antisepsis and marking skin. Suitable for sensitive and normal skin. Please note this product is not suitable for open wounds and mucous membrane antisepsis.
Contains following active ingredients: isopropanol 60%, ethanol 15%, quaternary ammonium compounds 0.2%.
Skin antisepsis prior to injection and venipuncture: Moisten gauze or cotton bud with VITASEPT COLOR, clean the area at least twice and allow to air dry. Exposure time 15 seconds. Operational field antisepsis: Treat the operational field with the product at least twice. Incision film can be stuck to dry skin only. Exposure time 90 seconds. Please note this product is not suitable for open wounds and mucous membrane antisepsis.

Conformity to standards

EN 12791 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Surgical hand disinfection. EN 1276 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics used in food, industrial, domestic and institutional areas. EN 13727 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity in the medical area. EN 14348 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of mycobactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants in the medical area including instrument disinfectants. EN 14476 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of virucidal activity in the medical area. EN 1275 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of basic fungicidal or basic yeasticidal activity of chemical disinfectants and antiseptics. EN13624 – chemical disinfectants and antiseptics – Quantitative suspension test performed on disinfectants intended for use in the medical area to test the efficacy of the product against fungicidal or yeasticidal activity.
